Internet Merchant Accounts (USA)
An Internet merchant account is required for "Cart Not Present" transactions, such as accepting credit cards via the Internet, by telephone and by mail order. The Internet Merchant Agreement is not applicable for "Card Present" merchants, such as those with established stores, shops and restaurants.
Even if you already have a retail merchant account, you will still need an Internet merchant account, because the rates, and the risk to your merchant provider, are very different. Hence, your merchant provider requires it.
The following is for merchants processing up to $50,000 per month in retail card transactions. If you are currently processing $50,000 or more per month in Internet, mail order or telephone order card transactions, please Fax Us your last three months of "complete" merchant card statements, for a personal quote.

The above applies to Visa and MasterCard. T & E cards, such as American Express and Discover, independently assign their rates. We will automatically assist in securing an an American Express and Discover account for you.
